My wife bought me this kit as she knew I was very keen to build it despite poor reviews. I am about three quarters through the build now, this would have gone very smoothly except for the extremely poor quality of the wood and ply supplied. I have spent a huge amount of time repairing plywood parts which delaminate at the slightest touch of a file or sandpaper when removing unwanted nibs. Further, a large number of wooden planking strips, for the hull, had such wide grain they splintered or broke during bending. I tried both steam and a plank bender. While the kit was supplied with a generous amount of planks to compensate for losses, it would have been better to improve quality of timber supplied. There have been many comments about the lack of instructions, a problem I have not had provided you study Each page and several pages ahead before undertaking anything. Lovely model when made but as frustrating as hell.
Many people have commented on the lack of instruction.

This is a fairly advanced model especially if you plan to sail it, I would suggest unless you are fairly experienced that it will be a challenge. What I did find particularly helpful was joining the Billing boat builders facebook page as there is a wealth of useful information on there and if you have a any question, you can pose it and within 24 hours you will have some extremely good answers. The kit itself I like very much and I also found swift and positive response from Billing themselves on a small issue
