  1. Phil Parker

Excellent model. Highly detailed and sails well straight from the box once you’ve bound the transmitter to the boat as explained in the instructions.

Top speed is slightly fast, but not unrealistically so and so should mean there is spare power for towing. Slow enough for novice sailors to avoid trouble and manoeuvrable enough to get out of trouble if you are in it.

Some of the detail is a little fragile so careful handling is a good idea.

Excellent “play value” with operating lights and horn from the handset.

  2. G Hawksford (verified owner)

I found Howes Models extremely helpful when I asked about the Richardson Tug on the phone before purchasing it. A second phone call a few days later, as I did not understand something in the instructions, was dealt with extremely efficiently and my question was answered fully, helpfully and with obvious knowledge of the tug. It is very reassuring these days when a company answers the phone promptly and is so helpful. (No long hold and making endless push button choices!)

The tug arrived well packed and quickly. On unpacking it was all that I hoped for and exactly as described on the Howes website. I feel it is very good value

My experience with Howes Models was extremely good and I would have no hesitation in purchasing from them again.
