DMU sound decoder and speaker (8)

These DMU sound decoder recordings are based around the class 108 but we think the characteristic sounds are suitable for use in most types of 1st generation DMUs. Our engineer has worked long and hard on this one and we think its a winner! Its all here, the start-up, then characteristic rattle when idling, several gearchanges as you accelerate away (not forgetting the driver-guard buzzer, door slams and whistle all on separate function keys!). We have even incorporated a separate function for the traditional rail-joint clicks!

We have tested this decoder in the Hornby class 121 `bubble car` where we fitted a rectangular speaker in the underframe moulding, cut-away to allow the sound out. The weight was then re-affixed inside the roof.

Below is a list of the Function keys and their assignments applicable to this model.
